Answer:
Blood pressure is taken using two measurements: systolic (measured when the heart beats, when blood pressure is at its highest) and diastolic (measured between heart beats, when blood pressure is at its lowest).
Blood pressure is the pressure exerted by circulating blood on the wall of arteries. The normal blood pressure is 120/80 mm Hg. The range varies according to the age.
Blood pressure is measured by sphygnomanometer.
Disease related to blood pressure are:
1) Hypertension: When the blood pressure gets high in the arteries and increase than normal levels. When blood pressure increases than 140/90 mm Hg it is considered as hypertension. High blood pressure increases chances of heart disease.
2) Hypotension: When blood pressure gets lower than 90/60 mm Hg. It can sometimes lead to life threatening conditions like shock.
