What is the meaning of blue rebellion ?write a short note on it

Answer:

Blue Rebellion was a peasent uprising of indigo farmers against indigo plantation.

Blue Rebellion was started in march 1859 in bengal. The farmers of bengal refused to grow indigo and due to this indigo farming was shifted to bihar from bengal . It is called blue rebellion because indigo is used to make blue dyes.
