SCALAR has only magnitude & not direction where as Vector has both of them...
whereas vector shows both magnitude and direction
e.g vector- force,displacement,velocity,etc..,e.g scalar - speed,etc
scalar quantity cannot be plotted on graph paper
vector cannot be plotted on graph paper
like speed is a is a scalar quantity and for other things like electric potential I have to learn that they are scalar and vector quantity
there is any any shortcut to know that anything is in scalar or vector quantity

mass, and the second as the unit of time
