It is assumed here that ‘Crushing’ is with reference to sugarcane crop.
Matured sugarcane is crushed to extract juice and produce jaggery, gur, white sugar etc. Matured and full-grown sugarcane is harvested and the crushing season usually begins in October each year, in India. But this can change by a month or two, depending on availability of harvested sugarcane (due to the long duration, taken by the crop to mature).
