What is the meaning of doing dimensional analysis in Condensed Matter physics?

In QFT, we do dimensional analysis because the superficial degree of divergence is related to the dimension of the dimension of coupling constant, but in Condensed Matter physics, the aim of renormalization is not to deal with the divergent physical quantity. So what's the meaning of doing dimensional analysis in Condensed Matter physics.
