What is the meaning of ductile?

ductility is one of the characteristic of metal.we usually say that this object is ductile which means that ..that object can be converted into thin wire

Ductility is a special property of all known metals of the world , except some few exceptional cases of metals having no ductile property

But what is ductility actually?
Ductility is the property by which a metal or a substance ,any kind of substance.. can be drawn how to find and thin wires.

Usually Noble metals for have the largest ductile property such as Platinum, Silver ,Gold ,Palladium etc.

That is why there used to make Jewellery.
