In the merchant of Venice , Bassanio tells Antonio about Portia
And he further says that he did received some fair speechless messages from Portia
which means that according to him , Portia did send some signs of likeness for Bassanio through her eyes , which gives confidence to Bassanio of having an equal chance to win Portia's hand .

he uses the term "nothing undervalued " to show that this Portia of Belmont is second to none , not even to cato's daughter and Brutus 's wife Portia ......

Answer:What Bassanio meant to say by the words "fair speechless messages" is that he received messages from Portia through her eyes. This means that what Portia wanted to say to Bassanio was clear to him as he could read her emotions through her eyes.

"nothing undervalued" means not inferior. For instance if i say "you are nothing undervalued than the first boy" and translate it to simpler language i would say "you are nothing less than the first boy
