In biology, the fusion of the sex cells define the sex of the child. If the X chromosome of the father fuses with the X chromosome of mother, the chromosome so formed is XX and a daughter is formed and if the Y chromosome of the father fuses with the X chromosome of mother, the chromosome so formed is XY, and a son is formed.
