what is the meaning of object in english... in sentence we say its an object... what does that mean

For example, if there is a sentence like:
1) Rohan kicked the ball.
1)Object:ball

2)Rita lost her tennis ball.
2)Object:tennis ball

3)My teacher writes whit a chalk.
3)Object:chalk
