salvation means the attainment of moksha or complete or eternal freedom from the cycle of birth and death. according to the BUDDHISM salvation can be attained through karma or right action during one's life.

Salvation or nirvana is the eternal freedom from the cycle of birth and death ie. rebirth. According to the LORD BUDDHA salvation or nirvana is the final bliss which is free from desire and sorrow and is an escape from the cycle of birth and rebirth and it can be attained by following the right gold path. The right fold path consists of : 1) right faith 2) right aspiration 3) right action 4) right living 5) right speech 6) right effort 7) right meditation 8) right contemplation. According to MAHAVIRA the main aim of one's life is to attain salvation. Man can be liberated from the cycle of birth and rebirth by following the triratna- right faith, right knowledge and right conduct.
