According to the poet, his friend is a living record in the prom. He has lived despite all the death threats and hostility. He has no destined friend in his memory record. Enmity is a forgetful thing that looks forward to destroying everything. Even though death takes all his enemies, the brave man was not destroyed throughout the poem. All generation to come will read the poem, and the poets work.
