What is the meaning of these lines? (From Virtually True, Class 10)

"We both knew that by reliving the accident, something wonderful had happened. But then again, now that there are two advanced intelligences on Earth, who can say what is and what isn't possible"

The author wants to convey by these lines that playing the games by Michael had restored the memory of Sebastian and helped him to get out of coma which was wonderful.Then he told about the technologically advanced world and the possibility of this situation being true in the near future but everything was not true with respect to present circumstances and it was imaginary.

By the 'Two advanced intelligences' he mean 1 is the human brain or someone can say the real world and the 2nd is the computer in which everything was true but virtually.
