the rate of change in dispacement is called as velocity.
   it is a vector quantity.
   its units are m/s and cm/s.
    velocity= displacement /time taken.
      displacent is the shortest path travelled by a body.

velocity can be defined as rate if change of displacment.

v=s/t

v=velocity
s=displacement
t=time
