Virtual image is a image that cant be caught on a screen Erect image is image that shows same direction of head and tail. Laterally inverted image is the interxhange of left to right and vice versa. The characteristics your are specifing is of plane mirror.

Virtual Image :

1.Virtual Image are not captured on the screen .

2.Virtual images can be seen only by looking into mirror.

3. Virtual image is just an illusion.

4.Virtual image is formed when light rays coming from an object only appear to meet at a  point when produced backwards after reflection from a mirror.

example : image formed in the plane mirror.

Real Image :

1.Real image are captured on the screen.

2.Real images can be formed by concave mirror and convex mirror also.

3.Real images are formed by  the intersection of light rays coming from object  meet at a point after reflection.

example : image formed on cinema hall screen is real
