ego is unwanted thing which takes place time by time in people's. it's describe person disability to value others views.

I M GIVING AN EXAMPLE FOR BETTER UNDERSTANDING :-
There lived a Saint. Everyone thought of him to be the cleverest and most spiritual person in the city. People came from far seeking his advice.
Once, the king of the city called the saint to his palace.
He entered the court.
King said, I order you to teach my son the meaning of hell, heaven and enlightenment.
Saint said, I will not teach him, my lord!
King was raged by the reply. He ordered, Soldiers! Take his life!
Soldiers drew their swords and were about to kill him.
Pointing at the swords, Saint said, Wait my lord! This is hell.
King was amused. He said, What? and ordered the soldiers to step back.
Saint continued, This is heaven!
King realized his mistake and bowed before the saint. Saint said, This is enlightenment!
In this story, ego, trying to save the insult by violence, symbolizes Hell. Giving up the violent act in favor of peace symbolizes Heaven. Realizing the mistake, keeping aside ego symbolizes enlightenment.
So, what’s ego?
Anything that hinders enlightenment and makes one perform a vengeful act without giving a thought is ego!
