The molecular distance of gas is the highest followed by liquid and then solid
so Intermolecular distance of Gas>Liquid>Solid
so intermolecular attraction of Solid>Liquid>Gas
gas has very low or negligible intermolecular attraction so gases to not have a specific volume and also specific shape
due to this very reason gases spread over a particular area very fastly.
Hope it helps!
