Given : Figures showing intersection of lines and few angles

To Find :  measure of angle x

Solution:

Fig 1

73° + Right angle + x°   make  a straight line

Right angle =  90°

a straight line = 180°

73° + 90° + x°  = 180°

=> 163° + x°  = 180°

=> x = 180° -   163°

=> x  = 17°

FIg 2

Right angle + Vertically opposite angle of 30° and x ° make straight line

Vertically opposite angles are equal

=> 90° + 30° + x = 180°

=> 120° + x = 180°

=> x = 60°
