Answer:

The angle of reflection is always equal to the the angle of incidence, which is the angle that the incoming ray, called incident ray makes with the normal. The angle with the reflecting surface, that is mirror, is given as 30 degrees.

Given,

Angle of incidence=30 degree

To Find,

Reflection angle with the reflecting surface.

Solution,

We know from the rules of optics that angle of incidence and angle of reflection are always same on a surface.

So ,as it is mentioned in the question that incident angle is 30 degree for here.

Then, angle of reflection also will be 30 degree .

But we have to find out angle of reflection with the reflecting surface.

So Angle from surface to perpendicular line is 90 degree and angle between reflection line and perpendicular line is 30 degree.

So, with the surface reflected sound will make 90-30=60 degree.

Hence, the angle made by the reflected sound with the reflecting surface will be 60 degree.
