What is the mechanism behind yawning ?

sachin526: it is an involuntary process of opening mouth and breathing in deeply it is triggered by sleepiness or fatigue.

When the oxygen level drops in the brain and CO2 level increases the brain sends an impulse to the neuron to yawn.
