What is the mechanism of reaction: n-BuBr + KCN -->(in presence of EtOH-H2O) n-BuCN??

Hey there!!!

It is a nucleophilic substitution reaction in which stronger nucleophile CN^- is replacing weaker nucleophile Br^- .
It will follow SN2 mechanism.

Rate = k [C3 H7 CH2 Br] [CN^-]
