Given data :- 9, 11, 6, 5, 3, 12, 9, 10

To find it's median,

First we've to write the data in ascending or descending order.

- 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 9, 10, 11, 12

Here no. of terms = n = 9

Which is odd.

So the formula to find the median will be = (n + 1)/2 th term

Therefore the median of the given data = (n + 1)/2 th term

= (9 + 1)/2 th term

= 10/2 th term

= 5th term

Here, the 5th term is 9.

Hence, it's median is 9.

Now what's mode? mode is the term or no. which has been mentioned the highest no. of times in the given data.

9 has been mentioned 2 times here.

So the mode of this data is 9.

Answer: Median is 9. Mode is 9

Step-by-step explanation:

given numbers are 9,11,6,5,3,7,12,9, and 10

There are 9 numbers in the given list.

⇒ The ascending order of the given numbers is

3 5 6 7 9 9 10 11 and 12

The Median is the middle number of the given set when it is in ascending or descending order.

⇒ Here no. of terms = n = 9. Which is odd.

So, the formula to find the median will be = ((n + 1)/2) term

3 5 6 7 9 9 10 11 12

In our set, there are 9 numbers. therefore, the middle number is at 5th position.

so, the number in the 5th position is 9

Median of the given data is 9

for mode,

Mode is the number that is repeated the most number of times in the series or set.

Here, in our given data 9 is mode as it is repeated 2 times.

∵ Mode of the given data is 9
