Solution:

Constructing a c.f. table,

X f c.f.

1 1 1

2 5 6

3 8 14

4 2 16

5 2 18

6 1 19

7 3 22

8 3 25

9 2 27

10 1 28

11 1 29

13 1 30

N=30

Now,

Median(Md)=(N+1)/2th item

=(30+1)/2th item

=15.5th item

The cf value just greater than 15.5 is 16 and its corresponding value is 4.

So, median(Md)=4

Hope it helps!
