Median is one of the frequently used central tendency when individual observation is not important.

Median is the middle term of the given observations .

Lets first arrange the observations in either increasing or decreasing order .

Increasing order = 5 , 7 , 7 , 9 , 10 , 10

Number of observations = 6 , is even ,So median is the average of 3rd and 4th terms .

Average of 3rd & 4 th terms = 7 + 9 /2 = 8 .

Therefore ,The median is 8 .

Required option is C

First write these terms in accending order
5,7,7,9,10,10
There are an even number of terms, the median will be between the two middle values. Take the average of two:
Median =(7+9)/2=16/2=8
Median = 8
