Median = sum is observations/ Number of observations
Median = 570/ 8
= 71.25

Samyajain: i m sorry its mean
Jindal11: very helpful answer
Jindal11: median
Samyajain: median = n/2 = 8/2 = 4th observation will be the median
Samyajain: 70

the sequence rearranged as :40,50,65,70,75,75,95,100 the number of observations are 8 (even number)
so the median is AM of (n/2) and (n/2 +1 ) observation
that is AM of 4th and 5 th observation
so (70 +75)/2 = 72 is the median

Samyajain: but to find the median of even number of observations n/2 is used
nogi2k2p57iuf: no its the average of (n/2)th and (n/2 +1)th observations
nogi2k2p57iuf: and for odd no. of observations its the (n+1/2)th observation
Samyajain: ok
Samyajain: thank u
