What is the median of first 15prime numbers??

The first 15 prime numbers are:

2 , 3 , 5 , 7 , 11 , 13 , 17 , 19 , 23 , 29 , 31 , 37 , 41 , 43 , 47

Median for n is odd is ( n + 1 ) / 2 th observation

==> (15 + 1 ) /  2 th observation

==> 16 / 2 th observation

==> 8 th observation

==> 19

Thus median is 19

First 15 Primes:2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19,23,29,31,37,41,47,53

The data consist of 15 members(i.e the first 15 prime)

We know that:

Median of odd no.of data=\frac{n+1}{2}th observation

Therefore Median=(15+1)/2 th observation=8th observation(i.e the 8 th prime)=19
