When food enters the duodenum the medium of food is acidic.  

EXPLANATION:

Duodenum is the first part of small intestine.  Food present in the stomach gets acidic when the juices from pancreases mixes with it. Then the juice from gall bladder mix with it. After entering into the duodenum the bile juice makes its basic in nature. These mixture with the food makes it easy of the duodenum to absorb the beneficial materials from the food while passing through it.
