In the poem 'The Lost Dances Of Cranes' Juliet Wilson tells how a magnificent species of birds, the crane, is on the verge of extinction. Unfortunately, the future generations will only know about cranes of another kind in their 'new cities'.
The poet connects the name of the birds with the cranes which are used for construction work in cities. They are similar in terms of lankiness. City life is destroying the birds.
She wants that the future generations should also see the beauty of the cranes. People should make efforts to save nature instead of just watching the videos about nature.Similar questions
