well....this poem just shows how modernism can take over a man's instinct and brainwash him in the begging he is observed being provided love for Sanke. but later his " accursed human education " .wins his mins and take control of his body. it just shows that every person has good in him.

here we can see the poet's dual attitude towards the snake .as a good man at heart, he at first gives due respect to the snake and give opportunity for the creature to have enough water .just in the next moment, the poet's practical education reminds him that it is not good to allow the venomous snake to go free .so he take a clumsy log and throws it at the snake .he soon realised that it was a cheap to attack a harmless creature .so he regret for the paltry action. this shows the ambivalent attitude of the poet
