What is the metamorphosed state rock of ‘shale' ?​

Explanation:

Shales that are subject to heat and pressure of metamorphism alter into a hard, fissile, metamorphic rock as slate. With continued increase in metamorphic grade the sequence is phyllite, then schist and finally gneiss.
