Construction of motor :-

1. Armature coil which consists of single loop of an insulated wire.

2. Strong magnetic field - Armature coil is placed b/w two polds of a strong magnet.

3. Split ring commutator which consists of two halves of a metallic ring. It reverses the direction of current in the armature coil.

4. Brushes - Two carbon brushes pressed against the commutator. It acts as a contact
b/w the commutator and the terminals of the battery.

5. Battery - It is connected across the carbon brushes. This battery supplies current to the armature coil.
