Method of Data collection used under Exploratory reasearch design are:

PRIMARY RESEARCH: In this, the data is collected directly from primary sources, i.e, participants or the one using the product or service.

Primary reasearch include,

• Survey methodology
• Focus Groups and
• Interviews

as all of these are practiced on one on one basis directly with the participant.

SECONDARY RESEARCH: In this, the data is collected from preoccupied data that already exists, for example Experiments.

Second reasearch include,

• Case studies
• Literature Reviews
• Books and journals
• Experiments that failed.
• Existing manuscripts

as all of these are preoccupied and already existing, one kind of research already done by people in the past from which you extract the information you need.
