Step-by-step explanation:

Method to find L.C.M

Let take 2 number 16 and 24

Now factorise 16 and 24..

we get,

16= 2×2×2×2

24= 2 ×2×2×3

Now mark the common factor

we get 2× 2× 2

H.CF = 2× 2× 2

= 8

Now L.C.M = Product of both number/ H.CF

= 16×24 / 8

= 2× 24

= 48

hopefully I had helped you

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

It is simple if you know the definition of LCM. LCM is the least number that is divisible by more than one number. This number is either the largest of the constituent numbers or its multiple.

=> Try to divide largest number by other given numbers. If divisible, this is LCM.

=> If last step not giving results, try to divide consecutive multiples of largest number by other given numbers. If divisible, this is LCM.

This process appears complex, but it is obvious and easy approach if you don't wish to use conventional text book methods.

Example 1 :

LCM(12, 24, 96)

96/12 = 8

96/24 = 4

=> LCM is 96

Example : 2

LCM(12, 24, 36)

36/12 = 3

36/24 = not divisible.

Try 72/12 = 6 & 72/24 = 3

=> LCM = 72
