It is simple just you have to do is assign any two values in place of x and y which will make the sum 1.Like This ,
let x =-1 y = 1
so now assign them
2x + y = 1
2(-1)+1 = 1
so now plot the Points As (-2,1)
it will lie in the 2nd quadrant.

We have to assume the value of x then we get value of y.
2x + y =1
→ y= 1-2x
e.g., when x= 1, y= 1-2 = -1
when x= -1, y= 1-2(-1) =3
Therefore, (x,y)=(-1,3)
We will get value through this process and then our graph will be done. And then we get the actual value of x and y.
