Midday Meal Programme is a school meal scheme which provides free lunch to children in government schools. It was launched by the Government of India in 1995, with twin objectives--increasing enrollment and attendance and improve nutritional standard of school going children

MID DAY MEAL PROGRAMME is an government of India initiative to feed the children in the schools . It has numerous benifits :

1 - By getting nutritious food , the children keep themselves away from various diseases as otherwise due to poverty they won't be able to get nutritious food .

2- When children from different communities sit together to have their lunch , it develops a kind of " greatly needed mindset " amongst the children as they do not find any differences in each other and develop good friendship bonds cutting across their religion , caste , rate etc ....

3- For the sake of having their stomachs filled , the poor children and their parents will send them to school , as a result of which, the children will learn a lot , thus contributing to their literacy .

4 - Last but not the least , it definitely will try to do away with poverty .

HPOE IT HELPS YOU .
