Answer:

Convert all to cm units:

6 m 24 cm = 624 cm

4 m 16 cm = 416 cm

Find the Prime Factors:

624 =  2^4 x 3 x 13

416 =  2^5 x 13

Find the HCF:

HCF =  13

Find the number of tiles length wise:

Number of tiles = 624 ÷ 13 = 48 tiles

Find the number of tiles breadth wise:

Number of tiles = 416 ÷ 13 = 32 tiles

Find the total tiles needed:

Total tiles = 48 x 32 = 748

 Answer: 1536 tiles are needed.
