The mode of nutrition of fish is heterotrophic.
In heterotopic mode of nutrition organisms cannot make their own food and depend on other for their food. these organisms are called heterotrophs.
Fish have four basic eating groups:
carnivores herbivores omnivores and limnivores.
carnivores are meat eating fish. generally the eat earthworms, red worms, Larvae of mosquitoes ,fruit flies e.t.c
herbivores fish are those that will eat only plants.
omnivorous fish eat plants and smaller creatures.
Limnivores are also known as mud eaters. they feed mainly on algae and on the microorganisms..
