In cockroach, respiration takes place through a small openings on the sides of its body called spiracles. When the air enters the respiratory system of a cockroach through these external openings, spiracles act as muscular valves, leading to the internal respiratory system. The respiratory organ of cockroach is known as tracheae.

Hey mate here's your answer :)

Cockroach have a network of tiny air tube called a trachea system, for the exchange of gases throughout the body. The air tube called tracheal open into a spiracle. Air enters through the spiracles, and move into the tracheal system. Each tracheal tube ends into tracheoles. Throught simple diffusion, oxygen enters the trachetube. Carbon dioxide, a metabolic waste, exits the body through the spiracles.
