What is the molarity and normality
of a solution containing 0.5g of NaOH
dissolved in 500ml.​

Molarity=\frac{Moles.of.solute}{volume.of.solution}\\

Moles=\frac{Given.mass}{Molar.mass}\\ \\Molar.mass=22+16+1=22+17=39

Moles=\frac{0.5}{39}=\frac{5}{390}=\frac{1}{78}

Molarity=\frac{1}{78}*\frac{1000}{500}\\  \\=\frac{1}{78}*2\\ \\=1/39
