After finding the atomic mass for each element multiply each by the subscript in the chemical formula. To find the molecularweight of CO2, add these numbers up (make sure to multiply before adding!). The units of molecular weight are grams/mole or g/mol

molecular mass of co2=12+16×2
=44
atomic mass of carbon is 12
and atomic mass of oxygen is 16
here co2 contain one molecule of carbon and two molecule of oxygen....
therefore ,we add the atomic mass and multiply the the two molecule of oxygen...
