we know that ,
momentum = mass × velocity

here , mass = 200 g = 200/1000 kg => 0.2 kg

velocity = 15 m/s

momentum = 0.2 × 15

=> momentum = 3 kg m/s

hope this helps

Given,

Mass of a body, m = 200 g,

Velocity of the body, v = 15 m/s.

To find,

The momentum of the body.

Solution,

We can solve this problem simply by following the below process.

Firstly, let's convert the mass given in SI units, as the velocity is also in SI units.

So, m = 200 g = 0.2 kg

Now, the momentum of a body in motion is determined by the product of the mass of the body (m) and the velocity (v) with which the body is moving. The momentum is denoted by p.

Mathematically,

p = mv

For the given body, m = 0.2 kg, and v = 15 m/s, so, momentum,

p = (0.2)(15)

p = 3 kg·m/s

Therefore, the momentum for the given body will be 3 kg·m/s.
