We can find the Fibonacci sequence in nature in the form of the petals of a flower.

Pattern -  

  • A pattern is a natural or man-made design or an abstract idea. The different kinds of elements of a pattern repeat in a predictable manner.
  • It is a regular arrangement of lines, shapes, or colors. A human fingerprint can be viewed as a pattern.
  • A geometric pattern is a kind of pattern formed of geometric shapes. There are different types of patterns such as single-piece patterns, split patterns, loose piece patterns, etc.

Fibonacci sequence:

  • Nature: The pattern of 'florets' in the head of a sunflower and the ‘fruitlets’ of a pineapple follow the Fibonacci sequence.  
  • Mathematics: A Fibonacci sequence is a form of sequence in which each number is the addition of the last two numbers.  

The Fibonacci sequence starts with 0 and 1.  

For example: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55…
