ANSWER:

Building sea walls and coastal revegetation are effective ways of soil conservation in coastal areas.

EXPLANATION:

‘Sea walls’ are hard, concrete structures built parallel to the coast line that protects the seashore from the eroding action of waves. Sea walls can also protect the area from flooding and the heavy loss of coastal line.

‘Coastal revegetation’ is the method by which the coastal area is replanted with mangrove vegetation which helps in holding the soil from eroding away. Compared to construction of sea walls, coastal revegetation is a sustainable method of soil conservation. In this method the coastal line is either seeded or planted with tube stocks of the vegetation. By seeding technique, the vegetation grows and covers the area in its natural course. By planting tube stocks, faster growth of the vegetation is achieved.

Answer:

Shelter belts is proven to be the best soil conservation technique in coastal areas.

Explanation:

The process of shelterbelts should be planned ahead in order to improve fertility as well as the protection needed from the winds in the coastal areas where wind speed is highest. The shelterbelts are a line of vegetative(shrubs, trees) barriers to protect the crop if ever in need when the high wind blows.  It also prevents the soil from the harmful effects of soil erosion.
