What is the most important reason to care about e waste?

When e-waste is tossed into the landfills, some of them contain chemicals that can leach out of the landfills and into their surroundings, thus contaminating our water supplies. Likewise, when e-waste is tossed into the incinerators, the act of burning them is known to create chemicals called dioxins.
