Thrust per unit area is called as pressure. This can easily be induced by the given statement if we write their units as, thrust/unit area. As we know, thrust is a force and unit of force is newton and for unit area is meter square.
So, thrust/unit area gives Newton/meter square which is the formula for pressure.
