Bempu is a made-in-India hypothermia alert device and was innovated in 2016 by Bengaluru-based Ratul Narain, a Stanford University alumnus. Now, United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (Unicef) is using the device extensively in PNG to save newborns from extreme cold and sudden drop in temperature.
