The name of the first Anglo Assamese dictionary was named as "The Pronouncing Anglo Assamese Dictionaries", written by "Budhindranath Delihial Bhattacharya", and  was first published in 1931

Budhindranath worked first as govt school teacher and later on worked in Jorhat Court. After retirement he became  a tea planter of "The Crown of England" that  later had come under the Assam & West Bengal govts.  In the year 1924, he was appointed as the valuer at the "Golaghat Municipality Office". Provisions of Assam Primary Education Act, 1926
