ANSWER

The connecting link between glycolysis and TCA or Krebs cycle is Acetyl Co-A.

1. Acetyl coenzyme A is the connecting link between Glycolysis and TCA cycle.

2. Glycolysis occurs in the cytoplasm and results in formation of two molecules of pyruvate, and is followed by a transition reaction.

3. This transition or link reaction (occurs in the mitochondrial matrix) is then followed by Krebs or TCA cycle which occurs inside the mitochondria.

4. Link reaction leads to conversion of pyruvate (3C molecule) into Acetyl CoA (2C molecule).

5. This Acetyl CoA then further goes for TCA or Krebs cycle.
