What is the name of the white layer that forms inside any container in which hard water is boiled

Explanation:

It is probably calcium carbonate. If the water supply comes from an area rich in limestone then the water will be saturated with calcium carbonate (so called hard water).

calcium carbonate is nearly soluble in water so when boiling ,gets seperated and sticks to the surface of container in which it is.
