The name of the Mughal architecture is based on ‘Indo-Islamic architectural’ style from the ‘Golden Era’ of the ‘Mughal Empire’.  

Explanation:

It is a combination and blends of Turkish, Persian and Indian Architecture. Most of the Mughal Architecture has developed between the 16th and 19th centuries in ‘northern and central India’ under the power of the Mughal Emperors.  

Shah Jahan is responsible for most the Mughal architecture. The architecture from his time includes the Red Fort in Delhi, Taj Mahal, the Lahore fort and many more.
