What is the nature of ammonium sulphate?

Ammonium sulphate is produced by the reaction between sulphuric acid and ammonium hydroxide. Sulphuric acid is a strong acid while ammonium hydroxide is a weak base. Thus, the salt, ammonium sulphate produced is acidic.
